 The Alouette The Alouette is the only luxury barge in the Afloat in France fleet that can navigate the narrow locks on the Canal du Midi.
The Alouette accommodates 6 passengers in well-appointed cabins located well above the water line. Her sun-deck provides the perfect place to relax and enjoy the passing scenery while cruising through the renowned Canal du Midi. The Alouette is the ideal barge for a family holiday.
The Canal du Midi was built in the 17th century and was an engineering marvel for its time. Highlights of this area include Carcassonne, the most complete medieval, fortified city existing.
