Day 1    CHIANG MAI

Disembark Silver Shadow and transfer the airport where a short flight in the afternoon will take you to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival there you will be transferred to the Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai. Later, you will visit a temple that offers spectacular views from the hill overlooking the town. In the evening, savor a Northern Thai-style dinner at the home of Princess Surai Sukrachan, a descendant of the last royal family of Lanna Kingdom.

Day 2    CHIANG MAI

This morning includes an excursion to visit the Elephant Training Camp to see how elephants are used to assist logging efforts. On the way back to the hotel a stop will be made at an Orchid & Butterfly farm. The balance of day is at leisure with lunch and dinner on your own. Overnight at the Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai.

Day 3    CHIANG MAI / CHIANG RAI

This morning you will leave Chiang Mai for the drive to Chiang Rai. Once there, you will check in at the Dusit Island Resort and enjoy lunch in a local restaurant and a visit to the residence of the King’s mother. Afterward you will visit the Golden Triangle where the borders of the three countries of Laos, Myanmar and Thailand meet with a stop at an opium museum. Dinner will be at the hotel.

Day 4    BANGKOK

A short flight this morning will return you to Bangkok where you will check in to the Peninsula Hotel. After lunch on your own, we will visit the Grand Palace and the spectacular Wat Phra Keo with it’s Emerald Buddha, Golden Chedi, Pantheon of Kings and Towers of Nine Planets. The balance of the day will be at leisure with dinner on your own.

Day 5    BANGKOK

This morning visit the fascinating floating market at Damnernsaduak, then return to the hotel for lunch on your own. Later, visit the Prasart Museum, housing one of the most impressive art collections in Asia. Following, we will return to the hotel once again and the rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the Peninsula Hotel.

Day 6    DEPART BANGKOK

Transfer to airport for return flight.
