Day 1    Arrive Cairo

Upon arrival in Cairo you will be met by Silversea Cruises’ local representative and transferred to the Four Seasons Hotel for your overnight stay.

Following breakfast this morning you will visit the Citadel and the Mohamed Ali mosque, as well as the bazaar area known as the Khan El Khalili. Lunch will be served at midday before continuing on to visit the most important repository for ancient Egyptian antiquities in the world, the Egyptian Museum. Following your visit, you will return to your hotel briefly. This evening holds a special treat – the Sound and Light show at the Pyramids.

After enjoying breakfast in the hotel this morning you’ll continue with your discovery of Cairo with a visit to Memphis and Sakkara, with its massive stone pyramids that predate those at Giza by many centuries. Lunch will be served at the famous Mena House Oberoi Hotel. This afternoon you will stand before one of the seven wonders of the ancient world – the Pyramids at Giza, and the Sphinx. Dinner tonight will be served aboard a vessel plying the waters of the Nile.

This morning you’ll set out for the two-and-a-half hour drive to Alexandria. There, you’ll be enthralled with your visit to the the Greco Roman Museum, the Roman Theatre and the venerable Library of Alexandria. Following lunch you’ll drive out to the Montazah Palace Gardens, surrounded by the Royal Summer Palaces of the former King Farouk. In the late afternoon you’ll check-in to your hotel for the overnight stay.

Following breakfast this morning you will embark on the three-hour drive to Port Said where you will board the beautiful Silver Cloud. Bon Voyage!
