The stewardship of the environment is the responsibility of all mankind, its preservation, a universal concern. As such, we are proud of our association with Jean-Michel Cousteau who founded the esteemed Ocean Futures Society to explore our global oceans and educate people to act responsibly for their protection.

On select sailings, naturalists from the Society come aboard to discuss the eco-systems in the regions we visit - stimulating information that can add immeasurable insights to your cruise.

Ambassadors of the Environment 2006 Sailing

Learn about the environment while aboard the Paul Gauguin.

The Ambassadors of the Environment Program is designed to give young people the most fun and enriching experience possible while onboard the M/S Paul Gauguin . Young guests take part in active excursions in and out of the ocean, expedition film presentations, and special dinners with Tahitian hostesses, games and other activities. The rich cultural tradition and natural wonders of French Polynesia make it a natural playground and living laboratory where kids can learn and grow without ever imagining they are having an educational experience!

Parents are encouraged to join the excursions. The leaders of this program are naturalists for Jean-Michel Cousteau, with college degrees in the sciences, extensive experience in teaching marine ecology, and most importantly, these guides will share with you and your families the joy and magic of the French Polynesia's coral reefs.
